Yes, your heard me... AB is on Twitter.
I was skeptical that he would come aboard since he said publicly for his disdain for social media. So, I didn't believe it until late Friday night after Chris Cognac, the Hungry Detective, got to the bottom of the mystery and confirmed AB indeed is on Twitter.

If you want to follow AB he is @altonbrown
I have tweeted AB several times today and yesterday but he's failed to answer any of them, apparently I'm not important enough for him to even send one minuscule tweet to. :(
With his sudden foray into social media and a tweet telling of a website overhaul (btw AB is erasing his tweets every 24 hrs), I am at a crossroads with the site. The primary function was to tell fans about AB's events and reports on things related to him. However with Mr. Brown now talking to the masses, I do not see a point to continue the site as is.
So, I will either have to revamp the entire concept for the site. I also has wished that Mr. Brown would've enjoyed my PR skills so much that he would've hired me to do the same for him on a full-time basis. Another dream destroyed so back to my meaningless crap job I suppose.
With AB doing his own talking, I know this site would never be as great and I don't see a reason to keep it going.
The other big news from Friday, Alton won a James Beard Award for best TV host. Although he told me he didn't expect to win when I congratulated him back in March, he did.

I'd really be surprised if he keeps it up over a month. He bowed to pressure by his agent but it may not last. Besides, what about that time when he was doing the chat thing, and he didn't even say his 2010 tour dates and it was only like a week away from his tour? I'd much rather get the information from a trusted source like you, Lisa.
I am sorry but you complain way, way too much. He already has thousands of followers and you're going on about how you're not "important enough?" That's rather arrogant. What did you expect that he'd sit and have long Twitter conversations that last through the evening as soon as you mentioned who you were? Oh, I am so sure he'd want to sit and talk to someone that practically stalks him. Get a clue.
I really REALLY hope you won't take down your site. If you choose not to write anymore well that is your prerogative, but please remember this site is not for HIM...it's for his fans. Us. I have used your site many times for research and also I must say it's one of the nicest looking and best organized blogs I've ever seen. I've referred to it for designing my own blog. I'm sorry that Alton has chosen to respond to you the way he has, but this sit is damn good and I will continue to refer to it in the future - as will many other of his fans I'm sure. I don't think he could do as good a job as you have done.
Why not use the site to demonstrate and talk about Alton's "applications"? Or, how you take these "applications" from his cookbook and adapt them for diabetics? Or, just keep it like it already is? It's ok to repost his book tour info and such. I mean, I'm constantly posting tour info, album releases, etc on my blog and it's info already out there. There are readers who sometime miss that particular announcement posted to twitter or facebook, so they rely on me to give them up-to-date material. Also, you have had opportunities to interview other chefs, cooks, and food industry people, so try to do more of that. The possibilities are just endless. You like to write and I would hate to see you give up something you love to do for some more-often-than-not rude and arrogant Food Network host. You're a better person than that.
Oh Erin, you are so deluded. Alton knows that ignorant people like you call Lisa a stalker. They laugh about it all the time.
