Another way for Alton Brown fans to help out

Fans of FOA will remember Chris Cognac as the fun-loving police officer who escorted Alton Brown around the City of Angels while he was parted from his beloved motorcycle thanks to that nasty incident with the bunny. Well, when not fighting crime Chris is blogging about food and his food adventures on the awesome site called The Hungry Dectective.

This afternoon, whilst on Facebook, I saw his latest blog entry. By the way, Chris was cool enough to friend me on FB. And thanks to being a FB friend, he saw my smoker video that was featured on CNN earlier this year and sent the link to AB. I never, however, heard from Mr. Brown about the video. Oh well...

Back to helping out!

Chris posted about a cookbook fundraiser the Tampa Police Department is doing to help two slain officers' families. The people putting together the cookbook are looking for recipes from all 50 states. If I knew some foodie cops I'd have them represent West Virginia.
