Alton Brown's Salt 101

Thanks to some intel from a Twitter buddy @kentcarmichael, I have discovered a fabulous video featuring Alton Brown and Diamond Crystal Salt.

The video features AB discussing salt in the kitchen and the lab. It is also classic AB wit and teaching. And check out the tweed suit, with arm patches and the bow tie. So nerdy it is cool.

Check out the fun at www.salt101.com

I must've spent a half an hour EASILY on the site earlier. During the intro, I just let it keep playing... I was waiting for AB to say to "Pick one!" so I was pleasantly surprised to see him check his watch, rock side to side, turn to look behind him... & yawn. I was seriously cracking up so badly. I don't think I've quite recovered yet... ;-)

So cool!! If you leave the site then go back to it, AB says "You're back, good." and if you quit and go back a 2nd time he says, "Hey, you've been here before, boy you must really like salt." I like the interactive stuff, but not digging AB's costume. Why, after all weight he's lost, does he insist on dressing like a cross between a clown and a 7th grade science teacher? In my opinion AB dressed better when he weighed more. Earth to AB: You can still wear bowling shirts when you're thin!!!! (sorry for the rant-AB you're still uber-cool)

After seeing him in this suit with the bow tie, I can totally see him in a remake of the movie "The Incredible Mr. Limpet!"

Awe, I didn't go back a second time! I missed that "you've been here before" part. I like the suit & though I do miss the bowling/Hawaiian shirts, I do like the plaids & other shirts lately. He's said those bright shirts aren't a part of his regular wardrobe anyway. It's his choice--even if je did say I stole one of them. ;-)
