I was completely shocked to find in the mail to my tickets to the upcoming Good Eats Live show. I opted for the snail mail because I wanted to have real tickets instead of print outs. Yay! Not sure how the post show meet and greet with Alton Brown will be handled because there were no extra tickets in the package. But I'm so happy to get the tickets.

I'm not sure if the good seats are still available, I heard the Internet pre-sale sold out. Check the
Cobb Energy Center's site for what's available.
I'll be in section CCC seat 6

I opted for tickets to both shows. I'm a "Go Big or Go Home" kind of gal and since I'm coming clear across the country, I figured why not? I am excited to know that they might be in my mailbox soon, too. I'm in row A seat 4 for the 2pm and DDD seat 26 for the 7pm. Lisa I might throw popcorn at you from behind:)
Mine must have been printed locally, the address on the envelop was Charleston. I hope yours are in your hands soon!
7pm $175 tix are no longer available through ticketmaster.
I opted to print them at home, so I had them the moment I paid for them! I am not doing the meet and greet..that way I can afford BOTH SHOWS!! I'm in C-ORCH, row G for the 2 pm show and my friend bought my 7 pm show, so I don't know where I'll be.
But I DO know we will be at the same hotel!!
This is gonna be AWESOME!!!!
@Joel ~ Thanks for the info. I figured the top tickets would sell out fast!
@ Vicky~ Awesome is an understatement ;)
Can't wait to met you in person. :)
Where is everyone staying? I'm at the Mariott that was listed on the Cobb Center site.
I'm going to be at America's Value Inn... cheap so I could spring for the big buck seats ;)
I'm gonna guess you just have to show the stub for the meet & greet. Or perhaps your name is on "The List." Heh.
Maybe it is like a secret society ;)
Handshake and password.
so i don't mean this in a bad way but i'm surprised to hear that people are coming to this from out of town! i guess there are some hardcore fans out there!
Hey Joel~
Good Eats is one of my all-time favorite shows, I would not miss a chance to see an episode filmed!
Plus, it is like seeing AB at one of his events. Hordes of people go to those. He puts on a great show.
And for me, where I live there's not much in the way of big time entertainment coming to town. My only chance to see something good it to go to it!
@Joel...
Hardcore fan is right! I am driving from Pennsylvania to see this! It's about a 13 hr drive for me.
Alton has been a MAJOR inspiration to me to try something new..change my career..go back to school.
The chance to be a part of a taping of a show with such a great guy is too much to miss!
well if you guys have any questions about ATL let me know
I am crazy about Alton and require no additional reason for a good trip. I'm flying in from Vegas and am making a long weekend out of it, just like I did for his Miami demo. And Vicky, you are SO right, the chance to be a part of your favorite show is pretty bitchin. Hey Joel, is 5 Points worth a look?
Holly, little 5 points is the bohemian area of atlanta. crystal shops etc. it's fun ... just depends on what your interests are.
@ Vicky
You got me beat on the drive since you're a little north of me.
But, yeah hardcore fans we are ;)
@Joel
I'm interested in the World of Coke maybe on Sat. morning. How's traffic getting to it?
i haven't been to the world of coke so i can't say. sorry! if it is downtown then you'll get downtown traffic but it won't be horrible... i'd look at perhaps taking MARTA (our subway system) ... depending on the time of day it can be sketchy but during rush hour it is quicker to get to downtown that way.
honestly the best thing to do in atlanta is the aquarium we have here. it is pretty impressive.
I haven't made my plans for Sat afternoon yet. Haven't checked on the MARTA yet to see if a stop is near my hotel. I did the METRO in DC and loved it!
The aquarium sounds like a good stop.
Atlanta's MARTA is not nearly as nice as the METRO in DC. It is relatively safe so if it is convenient it's fine to use and many times beats sitting in traffic ... but DC is leagues nicer.
That is one thing I do know about Atlanta, traffic is a beast! So I'd like to stay clear if at all possible.
Almost every time I been in ATL I've parked the car and used the MARTA. Lots easier than fighting the traffic and looking for a place to park downtown.
Have fun Lisa! Wish I could have gone since ATL is only a 5 hour drive.
